Tales from the Carindale Writers Group

Tickle Your Imagination … Time travel back to 11th century humour then brace yourself for the harsh reality of wartime Burma of the 1940s. Contemplate the modern-day cultural divide, ride a cliff-hanger or soothe your spirit.

There’s so much in this eclectic collection, that would fit cozily in your handbag or back-pack, or take pride of place on your night-table.

Creative – Wise – Gutsy: three words that say CWG. A diverse group of friendly people, courageous enough to share and encourage each other in the compelling world of writing. Thank you CWG for the part you played in guiding me along the winding road to getting published.

— Stella Perrott, The Sky Is Bluer

After 22 years, The Carindale Writers Group continues to share, nurture and provide a social and critical literary outlet for established and non-published authors, who hail from all over the globe and from all walks of life.

It’s a collective of Brisbane-based (mostly; we have one member in Victoria) writers who meet fortnightly, share and enjoy each other’s work and benefit from the collective insight and supportive feedback about it.

Developing skill at writing is like climbing a mountain. The Carindale Writers Group are there for me, pushing, cajoling, guiding me up the difficult terrain. With their support I strive for the summit.

— Robert Stott, Hogarth: The Strutting Saboteur and Bede: The Word Warrior
